Euthanasia
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. The fee for in-home pet euthanasia is $350, plus travel and cremation charges (if applicable).
Pet Cremation Services
We understand that honoring your pets memory is important. You are welcome to bury your pet (check local laws) or make your own arrangements for cremation. If you would like help with cremation, we work with Forget-Me-Not Pet Crematory in Northborough and can assist with transport and arrangements.
They offer two options: Group Cremation: Your pet is cremated with other animals, and their ashes are not returned. This option is generally more affordable. Private Cremation: Your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes are returned to you in an urn.
Dr. Maxfield can discuss these options with you in more detail to help you choose the best one for your needs.
Important Note: Dr. Maxfield is unable to assist with lifting/carrying large pets (over 25 lbs). If you choose to have Dr. Maxfield transport your pet, please ensure your family can carry your dog to her vehicle.

A Gentle Note on Transportation Support
To ensure your cherished companion is moved with the utmost care, safety, and dignity following the procedure, please note that I am safely able to wrap and carry pets under 25 lbs to my vehicle independently. If your pet weighs more than 25 lbs, a family member or friend who is physically able to lift must be present to help me safely transport them to the car.
